100% Success for Students Seeking Urology and Ophthalmology Residencies

By Kat Procyk

All nine students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine who applied for urology and ophthalmology residencies were granted early matches ahead of the official Match Day next month, a validation of Pitt’s educational excellence.

The urology and ophthalmology fields are typically matched early compared to other programs.

Most graduating medical students across the country take part in the National Resident Matching Program and will learn where they will begin their medical careers on Match Day 2025. The results for Pitt students will be presented at an event at the Courtyard by Marriott on Lytton Avenue at noon on March 21.
